PetDays Terms of Service

Effective date: May 24, 2026

PetDays is operated from the Republic of Korea by BugFeatures. These terms are the English translation of our Korean terms of service. If the two versions conflict, the Korean version governs.

1. Purpose

These terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between BugFeatures ("we", "us", or the "Company") and you, in connection with your use of the PetDays mobile application and related services (the "Service").

2. Definitions

  1. "Service" means the PetDays app and related services we provide — an information service that helps you record and manage your pet's (cat's or dog's) daily life, health, and care cycles.

  2. "User" means anyone who uses the Service, whether or not they have an account.

  3. "Member" means someone registered with us who can use the Service on an ongoing basis. There are two kinds:

    • Anonymous member — uses the Service under an automatically generated identifier, with no sign-up step
    • Permanent member — has created a permanent account with an email address or similar

  4. "Pet information" means everything you record about your pet — name, species, breed, age, weight, daily records, photos, and so on.

  5. "Content" means everything you enter or upload: pet information, daily records, photos, notes, and the like.

3. Posting and amending these terms

  1. We post these terms where you can easily find them — the opening screen or the settings menu.

  2. We may amend these terms so long as the amendment does not violate applicable law, including the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, and the Network Act.

  3. When we amend these terms, we will announce the amended text alongside the current one, with the effective date and the reason, at least 7 days in advance. If the change disadvantages you, we will give at least 30 days' notice.

  4. If you do not agree to an amendment, it does not apply to you, and you may terminate your use of the Service.

4. What the Service provides, and changes to it

  1. The Service includes:

    • recording and managing your pet's daily life, health, and care
    • predicting care cycles (bath, nails, teeth, brushing) and sending reminders
    • a photo-based symptom timeline
    • yes/no symptom checks (an observation aid)
    • PDF vet reports (monthly and pre-visit)
    • family sharing (per-member record labels)
    • anything else we develop or offer through partnerships

  2. We may change what the Service provides and when. If we do, we will post the change and its effective date in the same place the current description appears.

5. Not veterinary advice

  1. PetDays is an information service that helps you observe and record. It is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or prescription.

  2. Symptom check results and care recommendations are reference information to support your own observation. Actual diagnosis and treatment must come from a veterinarian. We do not warrant that this information is accurate or complete, and we are not liable for loss arising from relying on it.

  3. In an emergency — difficulty breathing, reduced consciousness, heavy bleeding, seizures, suspected poisoning — contact or go to the nearest 24-hour animal hospital immediately.

  4. You are responsible for the accuracy of the pet information you enter. We are not liable for wrong results caused by inaccurate input.

6. Your obligations

You must not:

  1. register false information when signing up or making changes
  2. use someone else's information
  3. alter information we have posted
  4. infringe our intellectual property rights or those of any third party
  5. damage our reputation or that of a third party, or interfere with our operations
  6. publish or post obscene or violent messages, images, or audio, or anything else contrary to public order and morals
  7. use the Service for commercial gain
  8. do anything else unlawful or improper

If you do any of the above, we may suspend your use of the Service or revoke your membership without prior notice.

7. Service hours

  1. The Service runs 24 hours a day, every day, unless we have an operational or technical reason not to.

  2. Scheduled maintenance and similar are exceptions to Paragraph 1.

8. Forming the agreement

  1. The agreement is formed in one of two ways:

    • Anonymous member — on first opening the app, our system generates an anonymous identifier and you can use the Service immediately. These terms apply from that moment, without a separate consent step.
    • Permanent member — you create a permanent account with an email address or similar, agreeing to these terms and the privacy policy as you do.

  2. You must be at least 14 years old to become a member. If we find that a member is under 14, we will close the account.

  3. We may decline an application, or terminate the agreement afterwards, if:

    • it uses a false name or someone else's name
    • it contains false information, or omits information we ask for
    • approval is impossible because of something you did, or the application otherwise breaches these terms

9. Leaving, and loss of membership

  1. You may leave at any time from [Settings → Account → Delete account] in the app. We process it immediately.

  2. We may restrict or suspend your membership if you:

    • registered false information when signing up
    • interfere with others' use of the Service, or misappropriate their information, or otherwise threaten orderly electronic commerce
    • use the Service to do something the law or these terms prohibit, or anything contrary to public order and morals

  3. When you leave, we delete your Content immediately — except where the law requires us to keep it. (Service usage records and access logs are kept for 3 months under the Korean Protection of Communications Secrets Act.)

10. Privacy

  1. We collect the minimum personal information needed to provide the Service.

  2. We tell you in advance what we need and why, and ask for your consent, when you sign up.

  3. Collection, use, disclosure, processing, and destruction of personal information are governed by our separate Privacy Policy.

11. Intellectual property

  1. We own the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the works we create.

  2. You own the copyright in your Content — pet information, records, photos, notes, and the like.

  3. We process your Content only as far as providing the Service requires: storing, displaying, syncing, backing up, and generating PDFs.

  4. We do not disclose your Content publicly or use it for marketing without your consent.

  5. You may not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise commercially exploit information obtained through the Service, or let a third party do so, without our prior consent.

12. Termination and restriction

  1. To terminate, use the account deletion menu in the Service yourself.

  2. If you breach these terms or interfere with the normal operation of the Service, we may restrict your use in stages — warning, temporary suspension, permanent suspension.

13. Limits of liability

  1. We are not liable for interruptions caused by natural disaster, war, power failure, or other force majeure.

  2. We are not liable for data loss caused by your own actions — for example, resetting your data or deleting your account yourself.

  3. Absent our intent or gross negligence, our liability for damages is limited to what you paid us in the preceding year. For a free service, that is zero.

14. Resolving disputes

  1. We operate a support channel to hear and act on your complaints: support@bugfeatures.com.

  2. For electronic commerce disputes, if you apply for remedy, we may accept mediation by a body designated by the Korea Fair Trade Commission or a metropolitan or provincial governor.

15. Jurisdiction and governing law

  1. Any lawsuit between us is brought before the court with jurisdiction over your address at the time of filing, or your residence if you have no address. If your address or residence is unclear, or you live outside Korea, the case goes to the court determined under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

  2. Korean law applies to any lawsuit between us.

Addendum

These terms take effect on May 24, 2026.
